Comments: Otherwise known as the December Band or Capt. John Handy & His New Orleans Stompers the first six tracks recorded in concert in Connecticut (not New Orleans as the CD cover states) are not the same tracks that appear on the GHB CDs. They were originally issued as Center CLP2 with the next four coming from Pearl PLP-1. The final track was originally on Center LP16 and it is a shame the full session is not available. As usual with Collectables notes they are not too helpful!

Comments: Recorded 1995. 60 mins. Comment:-This and COL-CD-6945 are part of a series of reissues from the old Biograph label. I have always liked this band from Pittsburgh and unusually for an American Band they are firmly rooted in the New Orleans Revival tradition and play with a verve not always apparent in some of the British bands performing around the country today.
